Hi, I purchased a 2nd-hand set of Paramount amps this weekend.  Can I have the original assembly manuals e-mailed to me?  Thanks.

Can you post a picture of the bottom of one amp?  There are at least two manual versions that are very different from each other.

Sorry forum noob.  Every time I try to post with an attachment, it tells me: "This page isn’t working forum.bottlehead.com is currently unable to handle this request."  The file is a 4MB .jpg.  It also won't let me post external links.  Can I just email the picture somewhere?

I'd resize it down by 50% and that may work.

View from the top.  It currently has a 12AT7; not sure if that was the original intent or not.  I assume 5670 is easily interchangeable?

The 5670 is not easily interchangeable with the 12AT7 - the pinout, bias, and plate current are all different.

The 12AT7 was used in the original version 1.0, which I believe is what you have. There was a revision 1.1 in 2010 which incorporated a new soft-start PC board and introduced the 5670 and a few other improvements. At that time, an upgrade kit was offered for owners of v1.0. I don't know whether the upgrade kit is still available or not.

OK thank you Paul.  I would appreciate if you send the assembly manual to my e-mail when convenient.  I would also be interested in purchasing the soft start kit if you still offer them.  Best regards

You can e-mail [email protected] regarding purchasing a Paramount 1.0 manual.  We do not offer the soft-start/5670 kit for the Paramount anymore, nor are we really equipped to offer a ton of tech support on it if anything goes wrong during installation.
