I have a Bottlehead Crack amp, a Schitt Modi 3 DAC, and Sennheiser HD600 headphones. I recently assembled the amp, and I'm very new to this whole audiophile thing. I am hearing constant crackling and popping in the headphones that is audible whenever the amp is powered on regardless of the volume or if music is playing. It seems to be primarily audible in my left ear. Tapping the tubes does not make much of an impact, so I don't think they're the problem. I've tried three different RCA cables, and all of them are in good condition but not new, so I'm willing to purchase a new cable if that could be the problem. Do you have any suggestions about what I should do to isolate and resolve the issue? I was extremely thorough and cautious when assembling the kit, and it passed all of the electrical tests, but I know that some people have fixed similar issues by re-soldering all of the joints.
