My one day off this week - kept my Son home from daycare to spend some much needed quality time together ;D

We pulled out our "new" (1976) Altec Model 19's to see how the Paramounts sounded on them. First time being set up...my Wife is so very understanding  ;)

Looking good!  If you find the bass to be boomy try raising them up 6" or so.  Doing so made a huge difference for my 19's.

Nice! It reminds me of the 'old days'. When a cabinet with a 12" was a minimum. 15" all the better. I built some Speakerlabs back in the day. I wish I still had them.

I am sooo in love! The Altec's always impressed me. And REALLY efficient too.

Very cool!  Always loved monster speakers.   Those Altecs would have taken up half the "living room/kitchen" floor space in my first apartment.  Come to think of it, they probably would have fallen through the floor in that first apartment.  Really.   ;D

Awesome! Just one thing though. You didn't tell us how they sound.

Good luck with your new toys. And yes, you should buy your wife something nice.
