Building my S.E.X 2.1, and I would like to incorporate the impedance switch as part of the build.
I've read the relevant section of both manuals, and think I know what needs to be done as far as wiring is concerned, but I would like a sanity check and make sure I've got the wiring as is should be:
- No changes to the wiring as far as the input primary is concern on the OT's.
- As far as wiring the secondaries is concerned, I attached jumpers of the appropriate length to the secondary terminals as per the impedance switch manual.
- Install the OT's, using the standoffs and screws from the impedance switch kit.
- Install the impedance switch board and wire them up as per the impedance switch manual.
- Wire up the binding post as per the S.E.X manual, except connect the black wire for each post to the Neg. pad on the appropriate impedance switch board instead of the headphone jack.
- Prep the 3" wire to connect the headphone jack to 23U. Solder the terminal closet to the volume pot (Page 29 of the S.E.X manual).
- For each channel, connect and solder a black wire from the Ground pad on the switch boards to the bottom terminal on the headphone jack away from the volume pot.
- For the right channel, connect a red wire from the POS pad on the right OT switch board to the middle terminal on the headphone jack away from the volume pot.
- For the left channel, connect a red wire from the POS pad on the left OT switch board to the top terminal on the headphone jack away from the volume pot.
So, do I have this right or have I missed something here?
Thanks in advance for any input.
