Quickie 1.1 - B2 or B6?

Total beginner here. In the instruction manual, page 20: "Cut a 3" (76mm) piece of red solid-core wire...Attach and solder one end to pin B6. Attach and solder the other end to 6L." But the picture shows a connection to B2, not B6. The 3" length backs that up. Which is right? Does it matter, since both pins connect to the plate? Thanks.

Our current manual reads:
