I've just installed the Speedball from the Original Crack, and I'm having some issues. I've an adequate amount of DIY experience, and the original Crack had zero issues from the first go.
The biggest issue I'm having after the speedball is that it's making a smoke out of the power supply (which scared the crap out of me as I thought I was going to die). Putting a headphones through my sansa fuse at first made a lot of crackling noises out the headphones, but after I re-soldered the 100uF capacitors, because I thought that might be it as I had to move them around to make room for the speedball, i just hear nothing now.
Some good notes: At least both of the tubes light up and warm up! Out of the 4 sets of LED lights (A & B board, Top & Bottom portion of the big board), the only one that lights up is the Bottom part of the Big board. I'm assuming all four sets are supposed to light up.
I've tripled checked all three of my Solder boards - I'm using the right resistors, transistors, etc etc.
Voltage check (for the most part) have been whack as well. I could post the numbers after I re-gauge them, but frankly I'm scared to even turn this thing on because it might ruin (if it's not already ruined) the parts of the amp.
Help please?
