I'm having the issue where I barely turn the volume knob before I'm at my maximum listening level. In the FAQ he says I can use a 270K ohm resistor to resolve the issue.

I went to radioshack and all they had was a 220K ohm 1/2 watt resistor. That should be ok, right? I just may not get as much padding as I would with a 270K ohm resistor?

Thanks. I just built it 2 days ago and I am simply blown away at how good my HD650s sound. My expectations have been far exceeded.

It's funny, with the logarithmic nature of our hearing, the difference between 270K and 220K resistors is pretty small in this situation.  1/2 watt is way more than enough.

Happy listening!
