Kevin,

To make it easier to help you just post any readings that are over 15% high or low.  Also the expected value.  You can "Modify" the first post with this information.

The reading of 000.2 (Ohms?) counts for zero Ohms.

Look at the final picture of the completed Quickie.  Do your wires come from and go to the same points?  Do this after a good night's sleep.

If I am interpreting your info right, everything looks ok.  I'm not sure what the 000.2 means either, but it just might be how your meter displays low values. Try just touching your lead tips together and see what is reads. This is your "real" zero. (and 0.2 is basically zero).  The 88.5k reading is still pretty close to expected, and probably reflects variation in the pot (they are good pots but not the most precisely made ones, which is why upgrading it is one of the mods just about everyone makes to their kits. The worst that could happen here is there may be a slight balance issue, and may not even be noticeable.
The 0-100k "depending" means depending on how the pot is currently set.  Turned all the way up or down will give 0 or 100k and halfway between it should read somewhere between (it gets complicated since it is on a logarithmic scale. you would think that it would be 50k, but it would probably be somewhat lower (too lazy to figure it out right now)
