Just wondering if this is practical and worth the effort --  based on the spec for the current pf choke in 2a3 mode.

I have the current plate chokes inside transformer covers so there will be no problems with exposed wires or grounding./isolation.

I expect a drop in B+ but I don't have the dcr for the bh6. Any other considerations?

Thanks,

Jim

BH-6 is 550 ohms and can electrically replace the PC-3. It has exposed terminals at high DC voltage, so another solution to safety protection would be needed. Has 40 henries so double the parafeed cap (PC-3 is around 20 henries using the 2A3 tap).

Paul,

Thanks. I was mainly interested in the electrical compatibility -- the transformer enclosures are large and  the choke will fit inside so all exposed wires will be covered and impossible to get to except frm the underside, where they should be.

Thanks,

Jim
