Computer inside Crack?

Here's what I want to do.  And this photo is just a rough idea as this is a Raspberry Pi model B and I'm going to mount a Raspberry Pi Model A+ which is considerably smaller with a HiFiBerry DAC+ mounted on top of it.

It will have WiFi in the USB I'd love to add a power supply under the hood but I'll likely just run the cable up underneath along with the interconnects, although I could wire those in under the hood I suppose.

Anyway my question is EMI/RFI related.  Is the wifi going to foul up the Crack if I put it in this general location.  I took my current Raspberry Pi B+ and HiFiBerry DAC+ and just set the Crack over the top of it and didn't notice any interference.  Sounds pretty great.

Anyway what I'll end up with here is a self contained Crack that has it's own streaming music server built right in.

I thought about mounting using a pi this way, but in the end I wasn't keen on the sound of the HiFi berry dac and thought it to much of a step backwards from the current set up.  There is a thread here on the HiFiberry which might  offer some help.

Thanks for the thread.  I have the DAC+ on a B+ Pi and I enjoy it.  I think it sounds mighty fine.  Not as good as my Schiit BiFrost but pretty good.  I run Arch Linux on my Pi and have had zero issues with it and am currently using it with Shairport to stream iTunes.

EMI/RFI related.
Hook it up and try it. If needed; things to try: rotate the board so the audio rca is towards the top. Move the pi to the front of the crack.
If you built the code/configured the linux kernel, disable the functions you don't use such as the wire Ethernet, video. I not familiar with the pi development stuff, so all this is a guess on my part.
I design audio products (not tube) with a mix of DSPs, general purpose CPUs, FPGAs, along with network and bluetooth stuff. Rarely do I have to shield parts of the circuit. It is a matter of proper grounding schemes and power supply separation between analog and digital.

I'm surprised the Wifi doesn't get picked up.  Depending on the current load of the Pi (i have no idea), if its less than 500ma you might be able to use the 6.3v AC heater tap as a power source, convert to DC with a full wave rectifier to give you ~7-8 volts DC, which is just above the cutout voltage of a 7805 of LM317 regulator giving 5v DC out.
