Hello All,

The new BeePre is sounding better by the minute but I have a question.  My top plate seems to get very hot.  I mean hot enough that after 5 MISSISSIPPI  I have to take my hand off or it will bet burnt.  Is that normal?

Thanks,
Tom

No, it is not normal to stand with your hand on your preamp while listening to music.  ;)  But yeah, the preamp gets hot. Those bigass heat sinks under there are sinking a lot of heat.

If you have any concerns the first thing to do is what we would do - remeasure all of the voltages. If they are in order, the preamp is in order.

I normally kiss all my amps while I am listening.  I am just glad I put my hand on this one first.   ;D

Reminds me of an interview I saw on Johnny Carson.  He was talking with Arnold Palmer's wife.  Johnny asked, "Is there anything that you do for good luck before Arnold plays a tournament?"  She replied, "Yes, I kiss his balls."

Long pause with lots of laughter.  Then Johnny says, "I bet that makes his putter straight."

Long pause for laughter and a commercial break.

:P :P :P :P  Hilarious.  I loved the old more discreet comedy.  That took much more creativity and imagination.
