I’ve had my Quicksand in storage a few years and pulled it out today to use with the Pipettes. No sound.

I’m trying to deduce whether it’s power or audio that is the problem. So far I’ve measured the batteries and am getting a little over 3v per row of C cells, so the batteries don’t seem to be dead. I also measured the DC voltage from where the black wire from the battery harnesses connect to the strip below the board and the red wire that connect to the switch from the batteries. That seems to be about 5v DC. I have no idea if that’s good or even a useful measurement. Any other things to try before just reheating everything and hoping for the best.

Chopstick test turned up empty.

Never mind. Reheated a bunch of stuff and it’s alive again.
