I just blew up my soft start upgrade. Help?

The most likely issue at work here is a miswire on the PC board, or a blown TL431 on the B side of the board.

Thank you Paul. I work in a hobby industry and have to assist novices and know it can take a lot of energy out of you.  You have been a great help and I really appreciate your time.

I double checked my wiring before I blew the parts trying to check voltage but I will double check it again.

I gues now I will just order more parts from Mouser and replace the others on the board.

The great news is the other paramount sounds stellar! I do not know if it is the soft start upgrade, the new 2A3s I bought, or what but the background is so silent now it is almost impossible to tell the amp is on even with my ear to the speaker. I am amazed.

Is a TL431 the same as an LM431?

Yeah, they are the same part made by different factories.
