Hello,

I've searched through the forum, but can't find an answer.  I'm new to DIY, so hopefully someone can help.  My crack is failing the resistance check.  I've double and triple checked every joint and resoldered almost the whole kit.  Nothing helps.  Here are my resistances:

1     no reading
2     no reading
3     0
4     fluctuates
5     fluctuates
6     4.8M
7     4.8M
8     0
9     4.8M
10   4.8M
12    0
13    climbs
14    0
20    0
22    0
B3    2.9k
B6    2.9k

RCA
Ground    0
Left    98k
Right    90k

I also traced the ground signal per the sticky thread and everything checked out fine.  I'm guessing I might have a bad power entry module, but that's just a guess.  I've run into a dead end and don't know what else to try.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post pictures? You have terminals that should connected by a simple piece of wire that are reading differently.

I added pictures to my first post.  My build looks identical to the one in the manual as far as I can tell.  I triple checked each step and used Cardas Quad Eutectic solder throughout if it matters.  Hopefully I'm just missing something simple.

B3 is connected to 7 by a piece of wire.  This will give them the same resistance readings.  Can you recheck?  B6 is connected to 9 by a piece of wire, so the same logic follows.  In your photos, these wires are present, so one must assume that there's a measuring issue.  6 and 10 go to ground through the 2.49K resistors at the headphone jack.  I can see in your photos that they are there.

Which terminal were you using for ground with your measurements?

Wow, I don't know what changed, but everything checks out fine now.  I tried those readings multiple times using terminal 12 as the ground.  I really appreciate the assistance.  A second set of eyes helps even if I didn't make any changes.  Thanks!
