Hello, I'm about to start building my crack and I've bought most of the equipment I need.
After reading a bit it seems like it is smart to paint the transformer bell end to prevent rust.
I'm totally new to this kind of DIY projects and English is not my first language so I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what products I need.

I've found a place to buy Hammerite hammered Metal Paint spray and if I have understood correctly I should first do a bit of buffing with steel wool or sandpaper
on the transformer bell end and then clean it before applying the paint.
I think I have seen aceton being mentioned and I know where I can get my hands on it, but I'm not sure if that works as a cleaner?

I'm excited to start building and will probably be back with more questions later on  ;)

Welcome!
I have used standard dishwasher soap, then isopropanol.
Then the hammerite spray. Look great IMHO.
But I have only sprayed on the outside, the one that shows.
If it is important to also spray the inside, I couldnt say.

I have finished building and now done the resistance check.
I got the following results:

1   about 3M Ω climbing down
2   about 6M Ω climbing down
3   0.1Ω
4   about 7M Ω climbing down
5   about 9M Ω climbing down
6   2.49KΩ
7   2.95KΩ
8   0.1Ω
9   2.93KΩ
10 2.49KΩ

12 0.1Ω
13 about 9MΩ cimbing down to 270KΩ
14 0.1Ω

20 0.0Ω
22 0.0Ω

B3 2.95KΩ
B6 2.93KΩ

Ground lug Red   0.1Ω
Ground lug Black 0.1Ω

Center pin Red   97.7KΩ
Center pin Black 101.1KΩ

I'm not sure if the reading on terminal 13 is normal. It took quite a while for the value to drop to 270 ohms (last part was very slow) and it only climbed down not up.
The black center pin was a bit high too, manual says 90K ohms—100K ohms.
Should I go on with the voltage check?

Also, there was no power cord with the kit. I'm wondering if any power cord that fit the plug will work?
I have this cord from an old crt computer screen that seems to fit. It reads 10/16A 250V.

Are any of these outside of 10% of the specified values? (They look OK at a cursory glance)

The kit will come with a power cord, unless you're outside of the US (we can't stock every possible power cord for every country), but you've nailed it and scrounged up the appropriate cable!

Only one of the RCA center pins was outside of the specified values, but it's within a 10% margin. So I think everything is looking good, if what I saw at terminal 13 is acceptable.

Yeah, having a big capacitor across a resistor makes for a challenging measurement for most meters.  What you don't want to see is a very low resistance at a terminal that's not supposed to be 0.

Just did the voltage check. There was a few readings that was barely within a 15% margin or just slighty outside:

       My Reading              Manual                   +- 15%

A1        79.5                        90                   [76.5    103.5]
A6        75.7                        90                   [76.5    103.5]

B1        75.9                        90                   [76.5    103.5]
B4        79.8                        90                   [76.5    103.5]

Is this anything to be concerned about? The only difference from the standard kit is that I'm using a Sylvania 5814A tube.

Those voltages being in the 70's (you'd see them on terminals 1 and 5) indicate a potent tube, and nothing to be concerned about.
