The other day I was going through my, admittedly, meager parts bin and came across something I can't remember what it is. It was in one of those anti-static bags that originally contained fairchild 1200v stealth mosfets. What it is is the legs of, I assume, the mosfet are connected to the leads of a .01uF cap. A leg to a lead. Across the leg/lead I soldered a 1 meg ohm resistor. What did I build and why? The caps are wimas so if I could salvage those I suppose they could be put to use somewhere. My copy of the Audio Cyclopedia by Tremaine, 2ed, just got here and I'm off for some light reading. Thanks a bunch.

A photo always helps, buit it sounds like a single snubbed diode maybe.
