Unfortunately my CRACK amp transformer is DEAD. :'(

We have had many, many folks come to us requesting replacement transformers.  It is so rare that we have a failed power transformer that our newer kits include instructions on how to test the power transformer (and we have not received a single request for a replacement transformer on any of these kits).

Having said that, how have you arrived at your conclusion?

My site trailer was hit by a lightning where i have my CRACK AMP plug in,At the moment the amp is at my local electronics shop  i was informed that my amp is toast.

Yeow, it is really hard to say how much damage was done without actually looking at the amp. My suggestion would be to send it to us for repair rather than taking it to a shop that probably won't have the parts needed for the repair.

The cost for shipping the amp wont be that cheap,BTW i was communicating with PB via email regarding these.

Yeah, lightning will do it. Everything but the wood and top plates needs to go. The tubes may actually be OK too... Maybe...

I don't think we can make a determination of the condition of this amplifier without actually having it on the bench.

 Thank You guys for your reply,I found a STOCK CRACK locally however this thing is very noisy but after re-flowing all the solder joints it's dead silent.For some reason i prefer the stock sound.

By stock you mean without speedball?

No Speedball, i just replaced the Volume Pot with the ALPS BLUE VELVET and that is it.
