I am building a simple outboard input selector to accompany my S.E.X. amp. I've had it for almost two years, and I'm finally tired of only having one input. This seems like a simple build, but I'm faced with a early dilemma. I will be using a small aluminum project chassis for the selector, and I have a plethora of un-insulated RCA panel jacks. Now since the selector won't have ground running through the chassis, I was wondering if I'll need to buy some nice RCA jacks with nylon washers to isolate the signal from anything. Seems simple enough, I just don't want to make a move until I'm sure. Thanks.

I was in your situation a couple of years ago, Doc suggested using a Radio Shack switch box, yes Radio Shack. I used one for several years with my SEX amp. Now I am using the Quickie preamp. Both work very well.

If the RS option doesn't appeal to you and you have bought the project box you can look at these.  They are similar, if not the same manufacturer, as all BH products all come with.

Or if you want to waste some money on a great product, check out the Goldpoint switch boxes.

aluminum box act as the common ground for all of the RCAs, I would recommend using a tooth washer on each one.  You need something to dig into the aluminum, past the layer of oxide that always forms on it, for a good ground.

Thanks guys. I got some Neutrik panel mount jacks for a buck each, and I have scrounged an aluminum project chassis from work and a rotary switch. Now all I need to do is find my spare wire from the SEX kit....
