Hi, I just did the resistance check following my kit build and had two readings slightly off recommended numbers.

The first - terminal 13. My reader actually counted backward from 2000, and landed eventually on 267k. The recommendation was to climb up to 270k. Is 267 close enough? I left it on the terminal for two minutes at 267k, maybe if i waited 1/2-hour, I could have got to 266, but my hand was getting shaky.

The second - The right RCA jack was at 93.1, which is in range. However, the left was at 101.4, with the upper recommended number being 100 even.

Are either of these a problem? I've seen another post saying within 15% was fine, but I thought I should check. Thanks, Josh Anderson

Which kit do you have?

If we assume that it's a Crack, there's an "*" on terminal 13, and the note in italics on page 37 in the manual will answer your question.

On the RCA jacks, the 100K pot is 100K +/-15% or so generally, so your reading there is OK.

It's a Crack kit, my apologies.

I read the asterisk just now, so I see it fluctuates. I had it on one setting on my meter and it slowly climbed but peaked at 200, then went blank. I moved it up a setting and it slowly climbed down from 2000 to a landing spot of 267. Neither time did it really "fluctuate" or "wander". It was a smooth and continuous change. I assume the language of varying from ohmeter to ohmeter means I'm okay with what I'm seeing, correct?

Thanks, Josh Anderson

Yes, you're ready to move on to the voltage checks.
