I am having a heck of a time stripping the insulation off of the teflon insulated wire that comes with the Bottlehead kits so need to get a better pair of wire strippers.  At this point cost is no object!  Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Dave

I like the Ideal strippers, but often for the Teflon wire we use some cheapo "plier" style ones I bought a pile of years ago, when we gave an amp building class. Look like these:

(https://forum.bottlehead.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.harborfreight.com%2Fmedia%2Fcatalog%2Fproduct%2Fcache%2F1%2Fimage%2F9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95%2Fi%2Fm%2Fimage_17561.jpg&hash=b287b540582cebc4616d22ffc269f7f2841a32d3)

Main thing is to get something that is sized so it will cut the Teflon but won't nick the wire right where the insulation gets cut. The cheapos are adjustable so you can get them set just right.

As for cost, here's a thread I found on stripper prices -

A small nail clipper works well on Teflon insulation.

Doc B.
Those in the picture are the ones I use.
Once you get the size adjusted just right and locked-in with the screw & nut they work great.

Just checked the link.
I'm an old man now and I've got to say that the cost of strippers has gone up from my younger days.

Costly, but these work well for me: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/cable-strippers/0662721/

If cost is no object, you might want to look at thermal strippers. I've used both the PVC and PTFE versions from Patco and would recommend.

OK - I'll bite.
Has anyone else clicked on Doc B.'s link (http://forums.anandtech/showthread.php?t=1639812) and get sent to a forum discussion on the price of dancers/strippers?
