I assembled all the parts and have been enjoying this amp a lot.
Recently, the fuse was blown and I figured out what happened. The leg of the resister embedded in terminal 15 touched the terminal 1 on the transformer.
So I sealed that leg with electric tape and put in a new fuse and rechecked the resistance.
However, now I got two problems. First, my 6080 tube won't glow. (12AU7 tube is glowing) Second, the resistance between terminal 12 and 13 stays at 2.9 K Ohms instead of climbing slowly toward 270 K Ohm, even though the manual says it will do if the amp is assembled correctly.
Because my amp had functioned well before that accident, I think it's not a soldering problem.
Instead, I guess this problem stems from a blown capacitor, but I am not sure.
In that capacitors are quite expensive I want to get any advice before ordering new capacitors.
I will appreciate for any suggestion.
