For the *'s in resistance check do I need to get a reading?

Checking resistance now. Got a question regarding the *'s on the manual.

The manual says resistance reading will fluctuate for the *'s.

I measured Terminal 1, and the reading did fluctuate from 14ohm to 6ohm. Terminal 3 got 0.5 ohm which I thought is also okay.

But for Terminal 2 the reading stayed at the initial fixed reading of 1 and did not fluctuate. So kinda worry about whether Terminal 2 is okay?

And should I get readings for the terminals with *'s?

If this is true, you shouldn't power on the amp.  On the other hand, I would go back and recheck these readings.  Does a "K" or an "M" pop up around the number when you take the reading?  This would indicate 6,000-14,000 or 6,000,000-14,000,000 Ohms respectively, which is a lot different than 6-14.

You might be over the limit for the range on your meter.  Can you let us know which meter you have?  Some are autoranging, and some will have scales (something typical would be 200 Ohms, 2K Ohms, 20K Ohms, 200K Ohms, and 20M Ohms).  If you are on the 200 Ohm scale and trying to read 1000 Ohms, you would get something that might say "OL" or just have a "1" to let you know that you're out of range.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer, PB.

The readings above were not accurate due to bad contact initially. After posting them here, I measured again and got the following readings:

T1: 1.4 -> 1.3 -> ... -> 1.1M ohms ->...
T2: 2.7 -> 2.6 -> ... -> 2.4M ohms ->...
T3: 0 ohm

T1 is 1.1 M-Ohms
T2 is 2.4 M-Ohms

If this is the case, then there aren't any issues with those measurements.

Yes, the readings are fluctuating, since the caps are drawing power from the multimeter battery, according to the manual.

So T1's resistance changed all the way from 1.4 M-Ohms to 1.1 M-Ohms (and further down). Similarly, T2.
