Yeah, there's something wrong here and it isn't your amp, I think you're safe for voltage checks. (I just threw away a meter today giving me strange readings)

Hah, well alrighty then! My meter does seem to stray quite a bit, but I can't say whether or not it's normal.

I'll take that as the okay to move forward. Tomorrow though.

Have a good night, and thank you for the help!

Good evening!

All voltage tests except two passed. Tip and Ring of the headphone jack.

Tip:approx. 60v
Ring: approx. 40v

Solder sucked a bit from tip and ring, resoldered, and now I see a bit over 100v on each terminal. Although, this was within 2 minutes of turning the amplifier on again.

Let the amp sit for a couple minutes turned on.
Now seeing +/- 5v on the tip.
Now seeing approx. 25v on ring.
But sometimes it's kinda all over the place on each terminal (10v, 25v, 40v, -10v....etc)

I did notice that the LED's on the low current board are dim, and the high current boards LED's are bright. I'm assuming this is because of high/low current boards respectively, but just to be sure I thought I'd ask.

Thank you

Are you sure it's not 60mV and 40mV? If you had 60V on one of those terminals, one of those resistors would explode. (or the black wire going to the HP jack isn't well connected to ground)

Actually that is correct, mV - apologies!

I did end up listening.....  ;D It's awesome!

T1, HD6XX, and DT-990 600 Ohm.

On for a little over an hour now, and she sounds wonderful.

I'm very happy!

Thank you for the help. Can't wait to install the Two Quiet and later on some caps - mod bug per usual lol.
