I have a lot of headphone amps....actually too many!! :):)

I rotate them every week ot two and am always enamored with the "new" amp in rotation.
Today the Schitt Vahalla2 went into semi-retirement and the Crack with Speedball and the new Alp pot came into rotation.

Using a RCA 6AS7G coke bottle and a NOS 5963 .

Listening as I write, with Beyer T1 2nd gens....

In one word "AWESOME"...

Absolutely marvelous soundstage and imaging..holographic...live performances are very realistic...

More than enough power to make the T1's dance...

Said this before and will say it again...this amp the way it sounds right now could easily be the end game to me...

Yeah...its that good....

This amp is a steal!

......and I have a Mainline as well....which indeed is GREAT....but dont feel that you cant have a wondeful audio experience with a simple down to earth
Crack!!

I continue to be amazed by the Crack/Speedball.  My favored pairing is the Crack with Auteur.  If I had to keep one amp/headphone combo, it would be this.

Used to have T1 with Crack and Mainline as well they both make for superb combos.

Shoot for the moon if you miss you will still be amongst the stars!

There is something special about the Bottlehead Crack. I find that I listen to music a longer on the Crack amp then any other in my headphone stockade. It blows my mind that it is also one of the least expensive. Anyone looking for a, "bang for the buck" headphone amp should look no further.

This morning, with a good cup of coffee, turned on the Crack, tubes light up...that wonderful orange glow!! Dac on cycling thru its firmware tests....pc on and into W10 in 30 sec...Jriver started headphones plugged in....I listen carefull as the internal tube parts warm up....RCA 6AS7G it whines softly, buzzes abit and after a few minutes settles down in a nice quietness!!!

Select my random cycle in Jriver of over 10,00 songs....wham Diana Krall starts snapping her fingers and then her voice and piano...

Wonderful....life is good!
