Sn60Pb39Cu1 Solder

I recently ordered what was advertised as Sn60/Pb40 solder.  Upon arrival, I noticed that the solder was actually Sn60Pb39Cu1 (Weller EL60/40-100).  I could not find too much here on the forum about solder containing a small amount of copper.  However in the build manual for SEX3.0, it say under no circumstances should copper bearing solder be used.  Does this statement even apply to very small amount of copper (and thus avoid this product at all costs)?

That product may work for your kit, but I would stick to 60/40 or 63/37.

The solder that you mention (Sn60Pb39Cu1) is Savbit solder and was developed as using it increased the lifespan of solder iron tips (which used to be unplated copper). Savbit can be used for most electronics soldering with no issue (although the melting temp / solid temp will change)

Copper bearing solder is a completely different product used for things like plumbing (joining pipes)

I have a related question, so will try to piggyback on this topic. I'm building the basic Crack and it is my first DIY project. For the solder I got Sn60Pb38Cu2, which has double the copper amount in the one mentioned above. Do I understand right that my solder will also be perfectly fine for all the work on the Crack, or should i return it and look for the standard 63/37? I have a simple 40w soldering iron.

The shop assistant claimed all solder they sell, including mine, is what i understood as rosin core. It's an electronics hobby store in continental Europe, so they don't call it exactly "rosin core".
