Nominal output of the Performer (3.3mV) is a bit lower than the standard 5mV. That is at the lower end of the recommended output range for the Reduction phono preamp. If you decide to go with the Reduction the Integration constant current source upgrade will be mandatory to get the gain optimized for that cart, as it gives the Reduction about 4dB additional gain (40dB total). The Eros phono preamp with its 10dB more gain (50dB total) will be an easy match to that cartridge.
The sonic quality of the S.E.X. amp is good enough to show the "family sound" of these two phono preamps and also good enough to reveal the slight advantage in resolution and bandwidth that the Eros has.
