Having fun putting this together!  When twisting the wire to the 3 twists per inch, I feel like I’m getting too much unraveling when I remove them from the vise, taking it down closer to 2 twists per inch.  How important is the twist?  Is it crucial for all the wires to be equal in their twists per square inch?

Am I just a mega noob completely overthinking this, or is this super important?

It's not all that critical.  They do unwind a little bit as you're building the cord, before you finish the braiding.

Am I crazy with how good this sounds?

It looks like I’ll be eating my words for every time I told someone that cables of any type don’t matter.  Thanks Bottlehead!

If the wire unwinds a little compensate by overwinding a bit, like 3.5 turns per inch. That way when it eases off it should be closer to 3 turns per inch.

Would the power cord be just as effective with the mainline as it would be with the crack?

I just see a quote of my question, I might be doing something wrong. :)

The reason I ask is because I only have one cord, but two Bottlehead amps, the crack and mainline.  If the cord kit has a significantly less effect on the mainline based on its structure I’ll keep it on my crack.

Have you tried it on the Mainline?
