I'll appreciate some help troubleshooting this issue.  Using the voltage test procedures on page 29 of the Moreplay manual, I am seeing just 0.002 to 0.003 volts AC at terminals 6 and 7 and 0.010 volts for terminals 9 and 10.  Obviously not even remotely close to the required ranges of 8 to 10 volts AC for terminals 6 and 7 and 110 to 130 volts for terminals 9 and 10.  Meter is set to show volts and not millivolts.  My household line voltage tested at 120.9 VAC and I followed the transformer wiring instructions for mains voltage of 110 to 130 VAC on page 27.

I have double checked all the wiring and solder joints instructions up to that point in the manual, and it appears I've wired the transformer as instructed to the right terminals and all solder joints appear solid.  The only slight problem up to this point was minimal melting of the black wire power switch lead, but it passed the resistance test and appears to be functioning normally.  Kit was purchased 2 to 3 months ago.

Ideas?  Thanks very much - Jon in SLC

Can you post some photos of what you have wired up at the moment?  Did you switch the power switch on at the front of the chassis plate?

Yes, I switched on the power switch (white dot down).  Pics are attached.

You have the neutral tied to the wrong terminal.

I would also move the bare earth buss wire away from the bare portion of the IEC power entry module that it's currently passing over.  If those two bits of metal touch, unpleasant things could occur.

I made both those corrections and voltage readings are now spot on.  Thanks for the help.
