Possibly dumb question – but anxious to get it right.
Within the 4-pole 3-position switch the number "3" is between two holes – one to the left, one to the right.
Which hole is correct position "3" ?

Thank you in advance.

If you aren't certain which hole this tab should go in, you could test where you have it set by attempting to rotate the shaft and counting how many positions you land on (2 clicks of the switch is 3 switch positions).

Also, by examining the switch, you'll notice there's no hole next to the number 1, then there's a hole at number 2 so that you could have two positions, and the next hole is for three positions.

Thank you, Paul.
The two clicks double-check makes sense.
I appear to have gotten it right.
Happy New Year to you and thank you for all your kindnesses and courtesies.
