Ok, I exaggerate, but I'm trying to complete the wiring for the volume pot, and I have two drain wires left to wire and I'll be damned if I can get even the first of the two in the hole.  Can I alternatively:

Use the upper point?  (8U)
or
Wrap the two drain wires around another drain wire that IS in the hole and make sure to solder that connection before leaving that area?

Based on a few of your other posts, I assume you're talking about the stereomour you're building and are referring to the drain wires at terminal 8.  I had the same issue - I was advised to wrap the last few drain wires around the bundle and solder them. It successfully worked for me. Check out this thread I had going in the stereomour forum:

I'll just mention that this issue has been mitigate in newer kits by using a different cable for input wiring with one drain wire per four twisted pairs (and the drain wire is teensy).

Good luck with the build, it sounds like you're really, really close!
