Hi everyone. I am running a freshly finished stereomour. It sounds amazing. I use subs and without a separate preamp, I control 2 volumes, one for subs and one for the mains. I built a quickie to control volume for both. I split the signal from the quickie to stereomour and sub amps.

I can't turn on the quickie without a terribly loud popping sound. I have no idea what to do. Isn't the order going on as preamp, then amp? I tried it the other way and the pop still happens when the quickie turns on.

Thanks
Ben

Are your subs off when you turn on the Quickie?

They are on an auto setting.

I switched the quickie out. I will get it back in and try that.

Thanks for the idea.

I feel dumb. I absentmindedly left out those sub amps. On/off is silent now. Thanks.
