wiggly 300b socket

I built my BeePre several years ago and LOVE the sound and listening experience.    I had a bad 300b socket originally that wouldn't tighten, got a replacement which tightens, but the ceramic part wiggles a bit in the metal casing.  That didn't bother me for years.

I switched from my grey bottle PSvane tubes to Sophia Princess Carbon.  I noticed that the tube in the wiggly socket really rings with microphonics.  The old tubes still ring in that socket, but less than the carbons.  Switching tubes, its the socket not the tube.  The tube can rock back and forth freely as the ceramic moves in the metal clamp.  The tubes are solidly plugged into the ceramic, but the whole ceramic wiggles. I need to make that socket rock solid as the ringing is driving me crazy.

I would rather not replace that socket yet again (Its a pain to do).  I was thinking of getting some high temp silicone and injecting it between the metal and ceramic to stop the wiggles, and likely dampen any vibrations transmitted.  What are your thoughts on this?  Anyone else needed to do this with wiggly sockets?

Wiggly Sockets.. sounds like a British kids band.

Super glue will actually take the heat down there and eliminate the wiggle.  It's also what I use when a tube is loose in its base.

Both of my BeePre sockets are wiggly and I will be trying this method to fix it.  Incidentally, I assembled the Kaiju around the same time and it doesn't have the wiggly issue.  The Kaiju is a thicker plate, perhaps that is part of the issue here?

I also used an epoxy to freeze these in place.  I used 3M EC2216 because I had it handy.  It worked like a charm.
