Hello Michael,

Are you installing the C4S kit on the most recent SEX kit (2.1 - with Bottlehead PC-3 and OT-2 transformers?).

Did you remove the nut on the 5-lug terminal strip holding the two 220uF caps?  Is the standoff not fitting properly?

Yes, 2.1 Sex Kit and yes, removed the nut.  Standoff is not fitting properly.

Is there a part that's in the way, or is it not threading on?

If it's not threading on, is it too large, or too small?

Not threading on...too small.

Does the standoff thread onto the screw supplied with the C4S kit?

OK, as indicated in the instructions, this screw replaces the screw that holds on the central terminal strip.

Does the screw that you removed from the finished stock SEX amp not fit the standoff?

Ok, I am a bit confused.  The instructions do not indicate to remove screw from chassis securing terminal strip.  It says to remove the nut from said screw, then install standoff. But yes, looks like the issue is that the screw currently securing the terminal strip is too large to fit the standoff.

Ok, I think I am seeing my mistake now.  I de-nutted the screw from the wrong terminal.  I misinterpreted the instructions and disoriented the chassis configuration.  The instructions call for de-nutting the screw in front of the power transformer (terminals 1-5).  I de-nutted the screw from terminal exactly behind terminals 1-5 mistakenly...terminals 21-25?  I should be focusing on the "terminal strip" 1-5...instead I was misinterpreting and thinking I was focusing on terminal that was closest to the power transformer terminals 1-5.

So...I am focusing on terminals 1-5, that which contains (2) 220uf capacitors as indicated in your previous post....sorry for the confusion.  From observation, that screw looks like it will properly thread.  Thanks for the second set of eyes....

I did the same exact thing - misinterpreted the location of the stand-off. It was obvious after I corrected it but not before.

Yeah....I am definitely known to make such mistakes.  It's in there now and everything checks out proper.  Definitely tightened up the low frequencies. Loving it.
