Hi all,

I accidentally placed a bid on some E80CCs, thinking they were the 12AU7 direct equivalent (actually ECC82). Would the E80CC work in the mainline or best to stick with 12AU7? Only asking because I'm going to have some so might as well try them if I can.

The regulator is intended to run on 4.5ma at 225V.   The cathode voltage at that point should be in the 4-15V range, which it is, so the E80CC will function properly.

It is kind of a waste of an E80CC to use it in a power supply regulator though, IMO.

Thanks PB. As I said, I would ONLY be using it because I accidentally bidded on some.  ;D

Maybe I'll try it in my Crack (but I don't want to modify it at all)
