Hello everyone,
My first post here. I have begun working on my Quickie.

I have discovered that with the Cerebral Palsy in my right hand and leaving extra length for stripping mistakes, that I still had problems with cutting the wire for the battery boxes. I  have ended up cutting the wires almost  too short to join per the instructions.

Also, while stripping them, I have cut into the wire strands. I  am wondering if the soldered  connections will be sound.

With all the preceding out of the way, can I substitute some  22 g. solid copper core wire for the battery box leftovers.

Thank you,
John

Hello John,

Sorry to hear of your building troubles. You can wrap any battered insulation with some electrical tape as a precaution, but the voltages in the Quickie are low enough that it's not much of an issue.

22 g solid core wire will work well for the rest of the circuit and be pretty easy to use.
