Can I use the leftover wires from Crack for Speedball upgrade?

Just realized that I could use the leftover Crack wires to connect the Speedball boards.

The Crack wires have a larger diameter than the ones within the speedball package. I think they will conduct signal/current better, am I right?

So, can I use the leftover wires from Crack for Speedball upgrade?

Really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on it.

Yes these are tight but do fit the Speedball boards, so you could use them.
For ease of installation i would recommend using the wiring supplied with Speedball.
This also helps when you would like to replace the original Speedball boards for upgrades in the future.

I think the Speedball hook up wiring is Teflon coated and the thicker 20awg that comes with the Crack is not and the jacket can melt back a bit when soldering if not careful. 

Shoot for the moon if you miss you will still be amongst the stars!

Correct its PTFE vs regular PVC and has a much higher melting point.  I think its also silver plated vs tin of the regular wire.  Its really nice stuff..

Crack wires are of high quality. Among the numerous Crack wires I only melted back one or two of them a little bit, no big issues.

I am still thinking the quality of conductivity is the most important thing.

Thank you very much for the details about the wires in Crack vs SB.

Melting is not a big concern to me as stated above.

The silver plating (vs tin) definitely helps, but not that much IMHO (unless the SB wires are pure silver).

I still think the thicker Crack wires will have better conductivity.

The longest wire in a Speedball 1.1 is 2 3/4".  That length of 22AWG wire has a resistance of 0.004Ω. 20AWG wire has a resistance of 0.002Ω

40 AWG wire would be sufficient for installing the Speedball.  We provide the Teflon coated wire for the Speedball because the jacket won't melt and the thin jacket makes wire routing easier.
