I have a subwoofer crossover plugged into the headphone out on my SEX amp, so I can use my subwoofer with my single driver speaker set up. The crossover is turned on whenever there is a signal. Strangely, many times I see the crossover LED coming on when I close the door to my music room, put the leg rest down on my Lazy-boy and ...

Just wandering what could cause this. When the subwoofer is connected to my other amp and speaker system it never does this, so it must be S.E.X. related.

Could the tubes be picking up some 'noise' while powered off and triggering the subwoofer crossover?

My bet is, the single driver speakers are acting like microphones, so a door slam or other loud noise generates enough current through the output transformer to trigger the subs which are connected to the same transformer.

You ar Correct.

I did push the cone on my single driver in twice in and both times it triggered the crossover to come on.

Mystery solved.
Thanks
