I had a hard to find problem.  Caucasian Blackplate suggested I use a chopstick to tap around to find the problem.  As a non-technical guy, I would have never found the problem without the chopstick.  you can use it to push on wires, tap, etc. to identify bad joints or slight shorts.

I dont think I would have gotten this far without that tip!!

Chopsticks are great for moving wires and things around (a little bit) while under power. A good way to find lowest noise positioning for wires.

Just make sure you don't use the Korean type (Korea uses mostly metal chopsticks) ;)
