Hello,

So I had plugged in a 6h13c as the power tube and switched the amp on. After a few seconds, I could see a white spark inside the tube.. I immediately turned the amp off.

The headphones were not plugged in because I heard a loud pop at startup the last time I turned the amp on with the phones plugged in. Thankfully the headphones seem to be fine.

Any idea what's happening here? I'm assuming the tube is faulty. Should I check for circuit damage? Would you say it's safe to run the amp with another tube?

Thanks.

I'd rerun the resistance and voltage checks to see that they are all good before trying another tube.

Checked the fuse, it looked fine.
Received a Tung Sol 6AS7G yesterday and put it in, amp is working fine.

I guess that tube was faulty and had started to arc.
