Hi All,
I'am confused on how to get the B+ from the 5U4 most of the info i'am getting online are confusing me the connections  that i see online are as follows.High voltage  from main transformer both goes to 5U4's plates Pin 4 & Pin 6 then 5V goes to Pin 2 and Pin 8 then the rectified B+ comes out from Pin 8 it looks to me that the 5V is tied/shorted to the B+ output is this right?Sorry for being a noob,Thanks in advanced!

Yes because the 5U4 is directly heated, the 5v winding is basically elevated to the B+ voltage.
