Hey all,

A friend and I just finished the crack build, checked all solder joints 3 times (visually and using a multimeter to check continuity - all checks out) and went over the build guide re-checking everything 3 times as well. All seems fine.

All resistance checks passed perfectly. We installed the fuse (which has not blown at any point) and plugged into power. The tubes, nor LEDs light up and voltage reading is 0 across the board.

After reading some posts we checked the voltage reading between ports 1 and 2 of the power transformer which too read at 0. No voltage is entering the kit at all as far as we can tell.

Power cord is fine, switch was on, running 120V 100VA min power transformer from UK mains into the amp.

Any help appreciated so much, we're at a loss!

Edit: Just went over and resoldered anything remotely suspect. We also checked the resistance on all resistors - all correct. Tubes still do not light up.

What AC voltage comes out of your step-down transformer? (Measure it with your meter)

What AC voltage do you see between L and N on the power entry module?

What AC voltage do you see between N and each terminal on the power switch (with the switch turned on).

You did put the fuse in the clip and not into the square tubular spare fuse section, correct?

On the outside of the 6 lug switch where the UF4007 diodes are mounted, it looks like the one with longer leads needs to be pulled away from the t-strip as it may be shorting to an adjacent terminal.

One of the red wires connecting to B8 is stripped way to far back.

The red wire going to A4/A5 is not run as instructed in the manual.  This may cause an issue with noise performance.

White wire B4 may be touching B3. Terminal 10, lack of solder. As mentioned outer diodes look to be touching in the centre, bend away, reflow solder for best result.
