well, I think I might be wrong on the carbon vs metal. I'm not at home, but they look just like this, but say 100 not 10

I just got thrown because all the other resistors have the colored bands, and these 3W ones do not. It might not be carbon film, but it's different. As a mouth breathing, instruction follower,
different is concerning.
So if there is nothing to see here, I will happy solder on.
OK, I am curious as to why these don't have the color bands. Might as well learn something.
