I just noticed this forum after all these years!! Ha!
I have built a Crack and a Mailine now and like them both very much.
I have posted like many of you my build experience and the nice experience and follow on performance.
I use many headphones but like some others I happen to lile the Beyer sound, and jave T1's, T90's and DT1350's.
I also have 10+ head amps mostly diy...gone thru Audeze, Audio Technica, Grado, and many others but never a Senn!
So for Fathers Day and My B-day I treated my self to a lowly set of HD600's for $286....
Well I am indeed surprised at how well these less than $300 cans work, especially with the Crack and Mainline..
If asked today how to get into or what to buy I would not hesitate in the least to recommend the HD600's and a simple Crack w/speedball.
Its a wonderful combination IMO....surprisingly so!
I still very much enjoy the Beyers but the Senns are special too,
