Hi every one,
I've been using my HD650 with the Crack and a Schiit Modi 2U as a DAC for a few months now and it's awesome.
I'm currently in the market for a speaker setup and I'm about to buy a Cambridge CXA60 DAC/amp combo with some Focal speakers. The thing is that I would like to merge the 2 setups (use the same DAC for my speakers or my headphones).
The Cambridge amp has a so called 'Pre-out ' RCA output. In the user manual it's written that it is used as a "pre-amp out connection for a power amplifier or active subwoofer" for exemple.

Do you think it is possible to use the DAC of the Cambridge amp then go to the Crack through this 'Pre-out'? And if it's possible will the preamplification for the Cambridge degrade the sound?
I'm a bit confused, I asked on the help thread of r/audiophile and some guy told me it's ok because it's "at line level". I will be very thankful to have your opinion on that.

Ben.

Yes, you can connect the preamp output of the Cambridge amp to the Crack. You will have to judge for yourself if it degrades the sound.
