Finally getting some motion on my Crack building.  I finally got the base finished, painted the top and bell cover, and mounted the bolt ons.  I should start the soldering tomorrow.

I initially had fuse blowing issues, finally found that the 1 amp ones are now recommended, and fuse blowing finished.

Then I only had one side working.  I spent a lot of time following the traces, etc. and ended up giving up for awhile...

Today, I found that my 8 pin socket wiggles a bit, and the other channel lit up.  Re-inspected and re-wetted all those connections and it works !  Still some issues if the tube is rocked.  The teflon socket is not held well by the retainer, and I plan to adjust that to better hold the  socket firmly.  But for this weekend, plan to do some burning in.

Even mounted the Bottlehead badge, although I did need to remove the pretty feet.  They were tall enough for the cat to get his paw underneath, so back to short, stock feet for now.

Thanks to all in the forum, I found all my answers here, and Thanks to Doc B and crew for a great kit, and community.

Looks nice!

What did you use for the feet?

Those are cabinet drawer pulls I found at Lowes.  I cut the heads off of the mounting screws, and just screwed them into the base.  The holes in the base for the feet worked well as some nails just pressure fit the holes, holding the base off the surface during the finishing stage.
