Hi, I’m stuck. I checked everything but wanted to see if these symptoms are indicative of something before going to crazy. I’m at pg 58, checking the out put voltages from the regulator

Power supply checks out fine.

The red wire from d1 is fine, goes up to 330+ then settles at around 225.

THe red wire from d6 goes up tp 330 and just stays there. The 2 diodes on the left side - per the pic in the Manaus light up.but the other 2 don’t.

The heater filiment seems to glow.although I don’t know if it is my imagination but only half seems to be on?

I’m guessing a short, any info would be appreciated.

I just repaired an Eros with a similar problem. The root issue was that several of the Teflon insulated wires connecting the board to the rest of the circuit had been stripped with a tool that fractured the wire right at the insulation, and the wires had broken inside the insulation where the break could not be seen. I would suggest checking for continuity of those wires.

That would be consistent with what you're describing and would be caused by pins 4 and 5 of the D socket not being well connected together.

Ok, so 4 and 5 are connected. The red wire from d1 is fine at 220. The red wire from d6 settles at 300? The a side leds don’t light up?
