Hi
I have been using my modified Paramour to power Audeze Lcd-2 for years with great success. Headphone are 50 ohm (if I remember correctly ) so I've connected resistor 10 ohm in parallel
so there is 8 ohm load for the tube. I'm getting new headphones that are 35 ohm, but I've been wondering if I could skip the resistor and run headphones directly. I have Magnequest iron upgrade with 8 and 9 ohm tabs. I've read somewhere that there should be no harm done to SET amp if operated without load, or in my case 35 or 50 ohm. Can someone confirm that please ?

The amp will work fine without any other resistor in parallel. If your new headphones are more sensitive you may a) hear hum, and b) end up with a more sensitive volume control. Not knowing how much power your new headphones will handle I will advise to be careful with levels settings and anything that might make a pop, like hot plugging cables.
