Selector switch pop
« on: April 04, 2020, 02:03:09 PM »
Hello,

Anyone know how to get rid of the pop noise when switching inputs on the Quickie?

Thanks,

Dave

You could try putting a huge cap across the filaments of each tube.  That would soften the switching of the filament power when the selector switch is moved.

Would 2uf caps be big enough?  I might have some laying around.

No, try 10,000uF/4V or 6V.

Guessing that would be in the signal path?  Maybe I'll just leave it alone.  Thanks!
