Hi,
I finished my Kaiju around a month ago.  It's been working great... until now.
I have a left channel 60Hz hum almost all the time.  Once in a while it goes away and stays away.
I've only attached my left speaker cable and disconnected everything else.  The right channel works great.
My initial hum pot measurements were 5mv.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Philip

Do you have the DC filament upgrade?

Can you listen to a 120Hz and 60Hz tone on YouTube and tell us which you hear?

5mV on the speaker posts without the DC filament upgrade wouldn't be abnormal.

Hi,
After inspecting the amp, I re-soldered a few spots on the left channel.  It fully took care of the hum.  I'll let you know if it comes back.  And I have the DC filament but haven't installed it yet.  I thought I'd get used the standard amp first for awhile.
Thanks,
Philip
