I just connected an old pair of Linn Nexus speakers I had lying around to my SEX 3.0, and they sound wonderful.
The speakers have the capability to be either bi-wired or bi-amped.
I am going to invest in a new pair of speaker cables for them, and was wondering if it is possible or even worthwhile to bi-wire the speakers from the SEX amp?
Blue Jeans cables sells a "star-quad" cable (Canare 4S11) which would fit this application perfectly.
However, I do not want to put the amp at risk by attempting this.
Should I try this or am I "playing with fire"?
I would also welcome any other suggestions or recommendations on reasonably priced speaker cable for this application.
I need about 15 feet per side to make the cable runs look "neat".

Thank you for your time and attenetion and any advice.

One VERY happy Bottleheader.
Chris

There's no risk to the amp if you do this.  Something like this would work well:

You could make those cables for a bit less money, but as someone who has made a ton of cables over the years, I'd probably just buy them pre-made.

Thank You Paul for the quick response.
your link is exactly the cable and usage I am looking for.
I will see if I can get a set of these pre-made.
The Linn connections are these weird (4mm??) spring loaded things used by Linn and Naim during the '80's.

Glad to hear I can do this configuration with the amp.
Thanks again.
Now, back to the musicc . . . . . .

Have a look at Ghent audio cables!
Good value for money. Great build quality IME.
Or just DIY!
